Make the Ends Meet

Making ends meet

This page contains links to some exclusive deals, vouchers and discounts I've come across around the web.

Ok, some of them might not be THAT exclusive, but if it saves you money, is a bargain, or even earns you some cold hard cash, then it is in here. Some of them might
actually be quite hard to find, and not a lot of people know about them. As this site is still under construction I'm just going to start listing them a bit at a time until I have more time to get them in some sort of order.

Farmfoods Vouchers: http://www.farmfoods.co.uk/includes/Vouchers/org/Vouchers.pdf

On the main page I've talked about cutting down the cost of your food shopping. Not only does Farmfoods have cheaper prices than the main supermarkets, but you can also get money off on top of that. The vouchers amount to 10% off and come in the form of £2.50 off £25, £5 off £50 and £10 off £100.( I usually struggle to reach the £50 mark even though the trolley is full to the brim, but it's worth it to get 5 quid off your shopping) These discounts also appear in flyers that come through the door. Some people get them every month, or like me get them once or twice a year for some strange reason. Maybe you don't get them at all? If you can't get your hands on some, then just follow the link and print some off for the next time you go.

Sadly not everyone has a farmfoods near them, but it is worth scouting out those smaller 'mini-supermarkets' because some of them will really save you loads. A so called 'special offer' in some of the big names make me laugh sometimes, because they are pushing items at half price when it is cheaper than that every day in places like farmfoods. Even cheaper if they have an offer on. And I'm talking here about 'proper' branded items. These mini supermarkets can also do a nice range in 'own brand' type stuff as well.

Aldi: www.Aldi.co.uk

Like the TV adverts say 'Like brands, only cheaper'. More recently they have also started selling more and more 'real brands' too. You can get a full trolley of top quality stuff for a lot less than the big supermarkets. Their bread and meat is really lovely. I'd much rather get that stuff there than the other supermarkets. In places like Germany and Poland everyone shops there. If you talk to a native of those countries they think we are mad for treating the place like some kind of cut-price low quality place, when in reality it's top notch stuff that you get in there.

 Quidco: www.quidco.com

Get money back when you shop. I've been a member here for years. Any time we are buying something 'big' it usually pays (literally) to go through quidco. My wife got £120 last time she got a new phone- just by clicking on the link through quidco. That's £120 for doing something she was doing anyway. So, if you're not using quidco then you are losing out. You don't always get as much as my wife did on that occasion, but you can certainly do alright. I got £30 on my last phone, which again, was something I was going to get anyway after researching the best deals around at the time.

HotUKDeals: www.hotukdeals.com

Another place I've been a member of for years. You don't even need to sign up. You can just go on and search for a voucher or a good deal. The search function can be a bit tricky these days but you can generally find what you need.  there is absolutely everything in here. From getting a few pence off a tin of beans to saving thousands on the latest technology.

Groupon: www.groupon.co.uk

Offers more localised deals and discounts. Works on a sort of limited time deals basis. Great for those Christmas and birthday present ideas.

Health Service Discounts: www.healthservicediscounts.com

If you work for the NHS then this place can help you save some money with discounts and vouchers for money off everything from holidays, to mobile phones to utilities.

MyVoucherCodes: www.myvouchercodes.co.uk

Offers an incredible list of vouchers. If you want a voucher code for something, then it is probably in here.

VoucherCodes: www.vouchercodes.co.uk

This is a completely different site than Myvouchercodes. I guess there is a lot of competing these days. This site also has an impressive list of vouchers for a huge range of shops. This site is very easy to use and laid out nicely.

VoucherSeeker: www.voucherseeker.co.uk

Not quite as extensive as the other big voucher sites, but has some nice deals and is easy to search.

Discounts.x10: www.Discounts.X10.mx

A new site I came across recently. Looks like it is just starting up. In the very early stages of development still, but has a few good links so far by the looks of it. So keep checking back to see if it grows any bigger.
